Heavy Diesel Mechanic
The Opportunity;
We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Swanson crew on a permanent basis!
Working on a variety of heavy vehicle brands including Volvo, MAN, Scania, BCI and Mitsubishi across our school buses and our tour coaches.
This role is a variety of proactive and active maintenance. Involving COF inspections and day-to-day maintenance and repairs on both diesel and petrol motors. As well as other fleet vehicles as appropriate.
We can discuss specific shift patterns with you, how, and negotiate, however one weekend day will be required.
You'd be joining a multi-cultural, and multi-skilled, established team of 15 people, reporting into the Workshop Manager.
There is also the potential for you to be upskilled in EV!

Your Skills;
• NZQA L4 Heavy Automotive Qualification/ equivalent automotive workshop experience
• Current New Zealand Drivers’ License Class 1 (ideally up to C4)
• Reliable
• Mechanically minded
• Eye for detail
• Health and safety conscious
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25kgs
• Tech savvy
• Enthusiastic attitude
