The Opportunity;

We are recruiting for a Transport Scheduler to join Team Ritchies, based in Auckland, at our Albany Depot, reporting to the Head of Network Design & Optimisation.

This role is pivotal in developing, analysing, and optimising bus schedules to ensure cost-effective, efficient, and legally compliant service delivery.

This is a great opportunity for an individual that has expertise in scheduling software and is proficient at operational analysis.

Ritchies is one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading passenger transport companies with a team of more than 2,000 people providing coach and charter services right across the country. We partner with regional councils and schools to supply public transport services as well as offering a range of bus and coach hire services to businesses and the general public. You would be joining us at an exciting time in Ritchies’ history as we gear up to decarbonise our fleet and move to a more sustainable public transport model.

About You;

You’re an analytical, collaborative team player that has experience in using HASTUS (or similar software), to create efficiencies within our vehicle and crew schedules, whilst adhering to legal and contractual obligations.

You pride yourself on your eye for detail and your time management skills.

You’re tech savvy and can communicate with a variety of people and groups in a manner that is concise and easy to understand. You take health and safety seriously and are an advocate for it’s importance.

Your Skills;

• Minimum 2 years experience in transport scheduling/network planning

• Self-starter

• Excellent analytical skills

• Strong communicator both written and oral

• Great business acumen

• Interest in public transport

• Health and safety savvy
